Watercolour Transitions is a course that helps you if you’re feeling lost yet committed to finding your signature style. It’s a course to help move beyond copying flower tutorials and actually find yourself and your style. Through self connection and applying my methods you uncover a style that is entirely yours. I take everything I’ve learnt over the course of my career and condense it into an easily digestible, entirely self-paced course.

Watercolour Transitions mirrors my own journey through art. It begins with a deep dive into the basics of watercolour, tools and techniques and steadily carries you through my very personal teaching approach of how capture the essence of your inspiration in a way that feels good to you whilst still allowing you space to explore and grow.
Uncover your own distinct style
Instead of just showing you how to copy my process, this course aims to help you uncover your own distinct style of painting. Through the medium of flowers, I help you connect with yourself and express that self through your art, meaning every piece you make will contain a little piece of you. You will start to find little gems of paintings you create that truly tell your story.
Refine your skills
Develop the techniques and mindset that allows you to take your watercolours to the next level. To fully immerse yourself in your own unique marks. I take you through my own process of reflecting and refining, showing you what I actively look for in order to improve and create art that is a pure expression of me.

I’m Safiyyah, a Fine Watercolour Artist and Intuitive Painter
My journey into intuitive painting began about 7 years ago, when I was in a negative mental space. I’d just quit my teaching job and was struggling to find my new equilibrium. I turned to my garden, spending time among the flowers, and soon my inspiration took off, something I’d once thought lost.
Over the next few years, I taught myself to paint. (I also started a family and sold my first piece of art. I was busy!)
Which is why I learnt how to tap into my intuition. I needed to make sure that my art remained the emotional oasis that it had always been and not become a chore. By this point I was raising a toddler and a baby so I needed to make sure my time spent on art was efficient. I needed to learn how to become ‘creatively supercharged’.
In a space of one year I went from amateur to fully fledged artist.
And I’ve put together this course to help you do the same.

There are seven phases to this course, with each phase building on the previous one to make your paintings more YOU.
I designed this course with three take-aways in mind, I call them the golden nuggets. They were based on the main road blocks I and my students were experiencing before I created the course. They include …
1- Teaching you EXACLTY how to find inspiration without worrying about copying or getting the two concepts muddled up, (which is very easy to do)
2-Understanding the concept of ‘how to capture the essence of a flower’, without painting every detail. Another very abstract concept which is rarely taught.
3- Showing you how to connect the dots up from what you learn when you copy techniques and how to apply them to something completely new and original.
Course Outline- Here’s whats inside
PHASE 00 – SETTING YOUR FOCUS
Phase 00 is where I highlight the main secrets to success and you’re introduced to the course, you cover planning, prep and how to approach your leaning so that you can set some clear intentions and make yourself accountable to experience breakthroughs quicker. This means you wont be wasting time being distracted or encountering roadblocks to your learning.
PHASE 01 – GETTING STARTED WITH THE BASICS
Phase 01 is where you learn about the equipment, and take a deep dive into the tools you’ll need and their effects, so that you can get the most desired results of watercolour. I go through all the brushes, paper and paints I use and how to use them.
Phase 1.5 - Warm up painting
There is nothing better then a quick easy copy and paste style tutorial at this point just to get you warmed up and ready to actually let go and start painting something new. You will have access to my introductory short classes to choose from.
PHASE 02 – TECHNIQUE TOOL KIT
You’ll learn the basic ingredients to paint (ANY) flowers, turn your hand to more challenging flowers, and master your background skills so that you can apply it to your own personal style. This is the main part of the course because you take the information you learn from the techniques; I show you and then start playfully exploring how you can apply them to other flowers IN YOU OWN STYLE!
PHASE 03 – COMPOSITION
Phase 03 is especially important because you’ll learn how to take a deep dive into everything composition, so that you’ll feel confident and you won’t flounder when you look at a blank page. I help you combine the intuitive approach with the theory of composition to create something beautiful and unique every single time and you’ll soon start to find a way that works for you best.
PHASE 04 – INSPIRATION AND IMPLEMENTING
You wont need to worry about creating something that isn’t original. The spaces with in the course are left for YOU to fill in with your interpretations, That is what sets this course apart form the others, I show you the how but you create the what. So there is no worrying about copying as you would when you watch YouTube tutorials.
PHASE 05 – FINDING YOUR OWN STYLE
This is where you learn how to really connect with your intuition, allowing it to guide your flow for results that you’d never have imagined and those addictive breakthroughs You also take the time to look back at how far you’ve come and plan where to go next

This course is not based on how to paint flowers in my style, If it were you would learn the process and your journey would come to an end.
Watercolour Transitions is different, You not only learn the techniques from my perspective but you actually have a goal and direction to work towards after you’ve learnt them- To find YOURSELF with watercolour.
Once you reach the end of the course, it doesn’t mean your journey is over. This course is cyclical, meaning that once you reach the final phase of finding your style, you can return straight back to the beginning and start over with new sparks of inspiration in a never-ending cycle of growth.

This course is for you if you have watched dozens of watercolour flower tutorials and you want to move to the next stage of the creative process which is finding your style. I do cover the basics but if you are a complete beginner then it would be better for you to try my introductory short classes before you consider Watercolour Transitions.
